llms.txt is a proposed plain-text file, placed at the root of a website, that summarizes the site and links to its most useful pages for large language models.
It is written in Markdown and lives at /llms.txt, next to robots.txt. It is cheap to add, but no major AI engine has confirmed that it uses the file, so it should come after crawler access, factual content and structured data.
